Spring and summer are by far my favorite seasons of the year. The sun is shinning through the blue skies, flowers and trees are blossoming beautifully, fresh breeze, birds are singing/whistling away and everyone is in good spirits and people are out and about dressed in pastels and enjoying the beautiful weather. Love it!

After hibernating indoors through the harsh winter season sipping on full-bodied red wine and glühwein, I get very excited when spring and summer comes around. One of the reasons why is that I love spring/summer food and drink recipes – They are so fresh, exquisite, light, fruity, floral, delicate etc etc. Imagine sipping on a chilled ginger infused mango cocktail on a beautiful spring/summer day? Rejuvenating!

Recently, I have been experimenting with various cocktail recipes. You should see me at work in my kitchen…. I look like a mad chemist mixing and concocting all kinds of flavors and herbs just to get the taste of a particular recipe right. One of the cocktail recipes that I’ll share with you on this post is ginger infused mango cocktail. Very refreshing and delicious.  The great thing about this cocktail is that it is so easy to make.

Ingredients Needed For Ginger Infused Mango Cocktail (Serving for 4): 

  • 1 fresh/ripe mango
  • 1 teaspoon of freshly chopped ginger
  • 1 cup of filtered water
  • 4 tablespoons of honey (Note, I never use sugar for my cocktails)
  • 6 leaves of fresh mint
  • rum
  • crushed ice


Peel the fresh/ripe mango and cut it into chunky pieces.

Using a juice blender, add in the mango pieces, 1 teaspoon of ginger, 1 cup of filtered water, 4 tablespoons of honey and 6 mint leaves.

Blend on all the ingredients together into a liquid consistency.

Using a net sifter, strain out the fiber from the blended infused mango liquid.

Chill the liquid for couple of minutes.

Pull out some cocktail glasses, add in crushed ices, a shot of rum (or alcohol of your choice) and using as strainer, pour in the infused mango liquid. Garnish glass with mint leaves or mango cubes.

Voilà! It is pretty easy to make this ginger infused mango cocktail. Another great thing about this cocktail recipe is the fresh ingredients. So delicious. Cheers!
